Drop of Hope Blood Donation Drive
“Drop of Hope” was a joint blood donation drive organised by Rotary Clubs of Dombivli, Dombivli Downtown, Dombivli Uptown, Dombivli City, Dombivli North, Dombivli Suncity, and Dombivli Winners to address the critical need for blood in local hospitals. In collaboration with certified blood banks, the drive successfully collected 44 bottles of blood, potentially saving over 120 lives. The initiative saw active participation from Rotarians, citizens, and youth volunteers, who were educated about the importance and safety of voluntary blood donation. Awareness campaigns and seamless coordination helped encourage first-time donors and build community trust. This united effort not only fulfilled an immediate healthcare need but also demonstrated the collective spirit of Rotary. Going forward, the participating clubs aim to conduct this as a recurring initiative to strengthen the city’s emergency medical infrastructure.
